Muted colors skirt
It's been a busy week. Last Wednesday a serious thunderstorm with tornadoes passed through Connecticut. We went unscathed, but neighbors had the top of a tree torn off. The tornado touched down about a mile from here and it's amazing to see what it did. I had a chance to see a lot of the aftermath as I drove to my market in Westport on Wednesday morning. That area was hard-hit, too. I had a wonderful day in Westport; if you are in the area on Thursdays, stop by their farmer's market. It's a really hopping one!
Saturday was a hot, hot day at the Litchfield market, and I was glad to get home to a cold shower and a fan! Sunday I did a bunch of yard work in the morning after Mass, and then spend the rest of the day just lazing around.
Now, back in the workweek, I don't have a market till Saturday, so I am sewing, sewing, sewing, and doing what needle felting I can. I've got a couple of skirts pinned and ready to go, and a bunch of mittens and wrist warmers. Not many people are buying them now, but come fall they'll be really popular.
Stay cool, wherever you are~
